A naked rambler who has spent 657 days in a Scottish jail after refusing to wear clothes has been released despite continuing to resist attempts to make him cover up.
Stephen Gough, a former Royal Marine, walked out of Perth Prison after completing his latest sentence for breach of the peace and contempt of court. He has been arrested each time he has left the prison after completing a sentence. But this time, he was allowed to continue walking even though he was not clothed.
Mr Gough, 53, who has spent most of his sentence in solitary confinement, said he was heading south to see his family.
