Museum staff go on strike

Two days of strike action at museums and galleries across Britain has begun in a long-running row over jobs, pay and pensions.

Staff at the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and Imperial War Museum in London, and at Tate galleries in the capital and Liverpool took industrial action. Workers at the Museum of Liverpool plan to create a "human shield" around the building tomorrow.
