The English wine harvest began yesterday. Gay Biddlecombe, who owns and runs the St George's vineyard at Waldron, East Sussex, is pictured among her 20 acres of vines. She said: 'We've got a bumper crop and because of the early hot spell in the summer the quality is good - that's why we're picking earlier than usual'
