Teenager forced into car by three men and assaulted

A teenager was chased down a street and forced into a car before he was subjected to a “horrific” assault, police said.

The male victim was attacked while sitting in the back of a black Ford Focus car in Bolton.

Although he managed to escape from the vehicle, Greater Manchester Police said he was chased down the street by three men and forced back into the car and assaulted.

His face was injured as several other vehicles on the road were brought to a halt as a result of the attack.

Police later arrested three men, aged 21, 25, and 28, on suspicion of kidnap. They have since been released on bail.

The teenager was later taken to hospital, where he received medical treatment and was discharged.

“This was a horrific ordeal for the victim and we’re thankful that he is now safe and recovering at home,” said Detective Sergeant Jo Little. “I’d like to speak directly to anyone who was in the area at the time, especially those who stopped their cars as the teen was bundled into the back of the Ford Focus.”

The driver of the car, who is one of the suspected offenders, is described as Asian and between 30-40 years of age.

He was of a medium build and had black hair and a black beard.
