Detectives were last night hunting for a man suspected of beating a prostitute to death 10 days after attacking another sex worker.

Maria Duque-Tunjano, 48, was found dead on Friday in a flat in Earls Court, west London, that she used to meet clients. Police released the photograph of Robert Richard Fraser, who they believe may also have attacked and robbed another London sex worker.

Scotland Yard has alerted the sex industry about Mr Fraser, who is also known as Robert Aleem and Shia Robert Jackson.

Ms Duque-Tunjano, a Briton originally from Colombia, was believed to have been hit over the head left dead for several days before her body was found.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall said: "We have established that Maria was last seen alive on Tuesday 28 January. We also understand she was in the company of a man and our primary focus is to trace him as part of this investigation.

"It is now our belief that this man was also responsible for an attack on another female sex worker in Paddington. It is imperative that we trace him as soon as possible.”
