Latest arrest at The Sun brings total to 21

Thursday 20 September 2012 22:01 BST

Another journalist at The Sun was arrested by Scotland Yard yesterday, the 21st member of the paper's staff to be held in the ongoing investigations into phone hacking, police bribery and other illegal acts at Rupert Murdoch's News International.

The 30-year-old man, who has not been identified, was detained at his home in South-east London by detectives from Operation Tuleta, the inquiry into criminal intrusions of privacy other than phone hacking.

As well as computer hacking at the now-closed News of the World, Operation Tuleta is investigating an alleged conspiracy at The Sun to download data from stolen mobile phones. Police said the man – whom NI confirmed was a Sun journalist – was being interviewed on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

On Wednesday, two other Sun journalists were arrested.
