BA cuts fares

British Airways has intensified the price war on transatlantic routes by announcing winter return fares starting at pounds 229 - pounds 150 less than this summer's rates. The Apex fares, available from October until next March, will be cheapest on returns to New York, Newark, Washington and Boston.
