A chain of electronic stores in Idaho and Montana is offering free guns to first-time subscribers of satellite TV services. The deal offers a $135 voucher at their local gun store. John Marshall, owner of a Radio Shack in Idaho, said: “There’s no problem with it here; this isn’t New York City.”

Argentine police acting on a tip-off discovered 500 snakes and lizards, 186 endangered tortoises and a lone armadillo packed into the luggage compartment of bus bound for Buenos Aires, according to local officials. The cargo is believed to have been part of a wildlife smuggling ring.
