Scientist survives oxygen trial

A scientist was sealed in an airtight chamber with 150 plants for two days to show the importance of plants to humans.

Oxygen levels in the box at the Eden Project, Cornwall, were reduced so Professor Iain Stewart relied on oxygen released by the plants. Professor Stewart said he suffered headaches as a result of oxygen levels the same as at an altitude of 4,500m.
