Strictly star Alesha Dixon's Wimbledon challenge

Alesha Dixon was helping to warm up the Wimbledon crowds today at the Robinsons Mini Court.

The singer challenged bystanders to a quick game of tennis as part of the drink company's initiative to get more people playing, as well as watching, the sport.

She said: "It’s a huge honour that Robinsons has asked me to be involved with the 2009 Championships.

“I have very fond memories of Wimbledon as my first ever public performance with Mis-Teeq was at the Championships entertaining the crowd."

Tin Henman, the former British number 1, gave the Strictly Come Dancing winner some coaching sessions to improve her skills for the event.

Dixon praised his teaching skills, saying:

"He's a true gentleman and very professional. I saw my game improve in just four short sessions."

As well as entertaining queuing tennis fans she also gave her full support to British hopeful Andy Murray to win this year's Wimbledon.

"I'm behind Andy Murray. He's got his strongest chance and it feels like this could be his year.

"He is under a lot of pressure from the media but if he can endure the pressure he can perform extremely well. I don't see why he can't win - he's got the skill."
