Ed Miliband was spotted leaving the Shoreditch home of Russell Brand in the dead of Monday night.
The sighting added further fuel to speculation that the apathetic comedian may well be set to endorse the Labour leader at the 11th hour.
A spokesperson from the Labour party however insisted that Miliband went to the home, where Brand runs his satirical YouTube channel The Trews, to record an interview.
They added that they were eagerly anticipating its broadcast.
Brand himself famously urges his followers not to vote, and is not thought to have registered to vote. If he were to back Miliband, it would represent something of a political U-turn for the author of Revolution.
“I have never voted,” he told the New Statesman .
