Donald Trump gets support from neo-Nazi group after call to ban Muslims entering US

The Republican presidential candidate is unrepentant over his latest comments

Donald Trump has been likened to Hitler - as his presidential campaign received the backing of neo-Nazi fascists following his call for Muslims to be banned from entering the US.

The Tuesday edition of the Philadelphia Daily News, a tabloid with a circulation of around 100,000, ran the front page headline: “The new furor”.

The story was quickly picked up by social activists and political writers, who have voiced their despair over Trump's latest remarks.

The Republican presidential hopeful had received the endorsement of neo-Nazi and white supremacist website The Daily Stormer in June, but a recent article published on the website praised the controversial candidate, saying: “Heil Donald Trump – THE ULTIMATE SAVIOR.”

Editor Andrew Anglin questioned why Muslims were "ever allowed in in the first place? What an insane, stupid concept".

The website has been categorised as the leading online hate platform by the Southern Poverty Law Centre, an independent US organisation specialising in civil rights.

It follows a Trump statement in which he called for all Muslim immigration to be banned.

Meanwhile, on the message boards of website Stormfront – "a community of racial realists and idealists" according to its promotional message – members celebrated Trump.

“He is the only one talking sense, I have to admit it. I agree with him 100 per cent on this,” wrote Celticlady6.

User “Tenniel” said Trump’s “intelligent, common sense recommendations” about Islam stood in contrast to the “idiocy” spouted by other candidates.
