WINDSOR CASTLE

21 April: Today is the sixty-seventh Anniversary of the Birthday of The Queen.

Her Majesty was represented by His Excellency Mr John Goulden (Her Majesty's Ambassador at Ankara) at the State Funeral of His Excellency Mr Turgut Ozal (President of the Republic of Turkey) which was held in the Grand National Assembly, Ankara, this morning.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE

21 April: The Prince Edward, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, today gave a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this evening attended a Reception given by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (Councillor Tony Langdown), the Guildhall, Windsor, and was received by Captain The Hon Nicholas Beaumont (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

21 April: The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, this afternoon visited the Robert Milne Family Centre, Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Suffolk (Sir Joshua Rowley, Bt).

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children Fund, afterwards visited the Newmarket Family Project, Newmarket.

Mrs Charles Ritchie was in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Home Farm Trust, accompanied by Commander Timothy Laurence RN, this evening attended a Dinner at Wilton Terrace, London SW1.

21 April: Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, President, North London Collegiate School, today opened the School's swimming pool, Canons, Edgware, Middlesex.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Irish Fund (for Prevention of Blindness) was present this evening at a Performance given by Opera Interludes at Goldsmiths' Hall, Foster lane, London EC2.

21 April: The Duke of Kent this morning opened the JT Wilson Building at the Dudley College of Technology, The Broadway, Dudley and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the West Midlands (The Earl of Aylesford).

His Royal Highness, Vice-Chairman, the British Overseas Trade Board, today visited the Binding Site Limited, at the Birmingham Research Park, Edgbaston, Birmingham; attended a reception at the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Harborne Road, Birmingham; and this afternoon visited Truflo Valves Limited, Westwood Road, Witton, Birmingham.

Captain the Honourable Tom Coke was in attendance.

The Duchess of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, this evening attended a dinner at the Royal Logistic Corps Headquarters, Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey.
