WINDSOR CASTLE

13 April: The Duke of Edinburgh, Trustee, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this evening attended a meeting of the Trustees followed by Dinner, Eton College, Eton, Berkshire.

By Command of The Queen, the Viscount Long (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Lithuania and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

ST JAMES'S PALACE

13 April: The Prince of Wales today attended the launch of the new organisation on 'Sustainable Farming Systems' at the University of Edinburgh, School of Agriculture Building, West Mains Road, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for the City of Edinburgh (Mr Norman Irons, the Right Hon the Lord Provost).

Commander Richard Aylard RN was in attendance.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Kings Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by The Kings Regiment.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Princess Royal, Patron, The Home Farm Trust, visits the Fairthorn Scheme, Sheffield; and later, as Patron, Geographical Association's Centenary Celebrations 1993, opens the Centenary Annual Conference, Sheffield University, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The Duke of Kent visits Lucas Powertrain Systems, Stonehouse Industrial Estate, Stroud; visits the Education Business Partnership Initiative at the Brann Direct Marketing Company, Cirencester; and opens extensions to Watermoor House, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Princess Alexandra opens the first phase of the Nithsdale Mills Development for Loreburn Housing Association, Dumfries; and later attends a ceremony to mark the incorporation of Dumfries and Galloway College of Technology, Heathhall,

Dumfries.
