Aubrey Plaza has candidly discussed her sexuality revealing she "falls in love" with both men and women.

The Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates actress was asked if she ever experiences being approached romantically by women when she divulged how she falls in love with people irrespective of gender.

“Oh yeah. I don’t mind. I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy.” she told LGBT magazine The Advocate. “Girls are into me, that’s no secret. Hey, I’m into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys. I can’t help it.”

The 32-year-old also said her LGBT following "makes sense" to her and described it as "the ultimate compliment".

"I mean, it makes sense for me," she said. "I feel like I operate in an old-school way that only gays truly understand. So for me it's the ultimate compliment. My tastes are like an older gay man's and I think that's who I really am. Like, I grew up obsessed with Judy Garland, and I was also obsessed with how much she meant to her following."

While the Parks and Recreation actress made the admission about her personal life she did not explicitly place a label on her sexuality in the interview, something a growing number of high-profile entertainers have chosen to do recently.

Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell, Kristen Stewart and George Shelley have all rejected categorising their sexuality over the past year, instead promoting a more fluid approach.

In May, Mitchell said: “I’m like, right now I’m dating a guy. I don’t know what it’s going to be in three years. You love who you love […] I’m never going to label myself. I could be 50 and dating a woman and then what? I said I was straight and now I’m not.”
