Arnold Schwarzenegger films the moment an elephant comes charging at his jeep
'I couldn't have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie'
Arnold Schwarzenegger has shared a video of the moment an elephant began to charge at his vehicle, forcing him and his companions to make a quick escape.
The Terminator actor posted dramatic footage of the moment an elephant charged at his jeep while on safari in South Africa.
Schwarzenegger, 68, can be heard shouting “he’s going to charge” after the animal walks away, but then appears to change its mind and comes running at the car.
Schwarzenegger praised the elephant in a post accompanying the video and called for an end to hunting.
“I couldn't have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie," he wrote. "I'm absolutely in awe of these beautiful, strong animals, even though some of us had to change our pants after this. We need to stop killing them - take a photo, not a shot. Would you rather be able to experience these creatures or a hunk of ivory? I thought so."
