Hazel Warp

The stuntwoman Hazel Warp, who died aged 93 on 26 August, was Vivien Leigh's stunt double in Gone with the Wind. As well as standing in for all Leigh's riding scenes – she was a skilled horsewoman – she also features in the scene in which Scarlett O'Hara loses her balance and falls down the stairs. Born in Montana, Warp also appeared in films such as Wuthering Heights, Ben-Hur and National Velvet.

Steve Foley

The career high point of the drummer Steve Foley, who died on 23 August aged 49, was playing with The Replacements, the influential Minnesota band who dominated the American indie scene in the 1980s. After playing with another Minnesota band, Curtiss A, Foley joined The Replacements in 1990, but after an extended farewell tour, the band broke up the following year.

Jacob Lekgetho

The South African footballer Jacob Lekgetho, who died aged 34 on 9 September after a long illness, was a stylish left-back who could also play in midfield and was capped 26 times. He was in the squad for the 2002 World Cup, coming on as a substitute in the game against Spain. He began his career with Moroka Swallows at home, and went on to play for Lokomotiv Moscow, for whom he put in many impressive displays in the Champions' League. Arsenal fans may remember his dismissal for receiving two yellow cards in the 2003 game at Highbury.
