Mir computer is replaced
COSMONAUTS on the Russian space station Mir yesterday replaced an onboard computer which had failed. A spokesman for Korolyov mission control said a spare computer was installed and tested.
The computer had failed late on Saturday, for the second time since February, disrupting a system which keeps the space station's solar panels oriented towards the Sun.
