Talking about things that are "played out" (#isplayedout) is the top trending topic on Twitter on the morning of December 16.

People are telling the world what's old, no longer hip or "played out." Most of the tweets revolve around the user's pet peeves.

"[B]eing an internet thug,""telling her she the one when she's one of seven" and "spending your whole paycheck on shoes " were a few things users found to be "played out."

"Now Playing" (#nowplaying) is holding steady at the number two spot as users tell the world what they're listening to or watching. "Something Ain't Right" is maintaining its number three spot.

People are also using the newly trending topic "did you just say that" (#didyoujustsaythat) to express their shock over something someone just told them.
