Judge attacks Mason register A SENIOR Appeal Court judge yesterday launched a bitter attack on government plans to set up a register of Freemasons working in the criminal justice system.

Lord Justice Millett, himself a Freemason, said that the proposals set out by the Home Secretary, Jack Straw, were "completely wrong" and an invasion of privacy. His attack comes as the United Grand Lodge of England is preparing to mount a public campaign against the Government's plans.
