No Mr Bond: I expect you to place my order
So was Bond trading bonds? Icap, the interdealer broker, threw open its doors to a string of celebrities yesterday, with the stars manning the phones from customers placing orders.
The profits from the day, which has raised £64m since Icap began the annual initiative in 1993, go to around 200 charities all over the world.
Yesterday's crop of would-be traders for a good cause included 007 actor Daniel Craig, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, Prince Charles and Prince William in London. In New York, Sarah Jessica Parker and Bill Clinton took a turn on the phones.
