Another 325 jobs go at Lloyds
Lloyds Banking Group is cutting another 325 jobs as part of the "on-going integration programme" following its government-brokered takeover of HBOS at the height of the credit crunch.
The move outraged trade unions. Unite described the latest round of cuts, which took the number of job losses to 22,000, as "staggering".
Earlier this week, the Independent Commission on Banking review called for Lloyds to sell off more branches to improve competition in the industry.
