Trace Computers, the computer services provider, reduced pre-tax profits from pounds 502,000 to pounds 211,000 in the year to 31 May. Turnover eased from pounds 19.3m to pounds 18m, making trading profits of pounds 5.8m ( pounds 6.8m). Earnings per share were cut to 1.12p (2.87p). Total dividend is maintained at 1.45p. The company said the completed rationalisation of its computer supply business helped the operation to run at a breakeven operating level.

Half-year to 30 June

Radamec Group, the electronics and precision engineer, fell to pounds 335,000 (pounds 365,000). However a reduction in debts caused interest charges to drop from pounds 117,000 to pounds 47,000, with the company reporting a higher cash balance of pounds 410,000 ( pounds 127,000). Earnings per share are 0.5p (same). Dividend is held at 0.5p.

A Cohen, which makes non-ferrous metal ingots and reclaims and trades recyclable materials, reported a sharp fall in pre-tax profits from pounds 496,000 to pounds 36,000, despite a rise in turnover to pounds 43.5m ( pounds 38.1m). Loss per share is 8.96p (EPS 1.18p). No dividend (3.4p).
