TIMESHARE purchasers will have greater protection against the hard-sell companies.

The Timeshare Act, which comes into force on 12 October, provides for a cancellation period of 14 days. It covers timeshare agreements entered into under UK law or where one or both parties are in the UK when it is made. If you get collared by a timeshare tout abroad you are not covered by the Act.
