Rare appearance in split jackpot
Last week's winning numbers included 19, which had previously won only five times, the last time 15 weeks previously, and 12, a rare winner that has now appeared two weeks running. The third most prolific number, 28, also came up. But there were no odd groupings or sequences of winners, so it was not all that surprising that the jackpot was split 57 ways.
This week sees the long losing sequences lengthen further on 27, 1, 46, 20, 8, 10, while 39 remains remarkably unloved with just two wins in 70 draws, the last 12 weeks ago. Other unlucky numbers, so far at least, include 13, 27, 34, 36 and 37, which are well short of the 10 appearances in the winning frame that average luck should have brought them by now. There is a mini-run of low-scoring numbers from 8 to 13 and 34 to 37, and the most frequent individual winners are still 5, 16 and 28.
