In Brief: Cash-back offer

ABBEY National is making a 1 per cent cash-back offer to customers who take out an unsecured personal loan of more than pounds 1,000 before 6 November. For loans between pounds 5,000 and pounds 15,000 the annual percentage rate is 16.9 per cent where repayments are made by direct debit. The APR is 19.9 per cent on loans between pounds 2,000 and pounds 5,000. On smaller loans the APR is 21.9 per cent. Details from branches.
