A RECORD pounds 20,000- pounds 30,000 for a British poster is expected at Christie's South Kensington for an art nouveau lithograph by Charles Rennie Mackintosh (d1928). His work is rarely seen at auction. The poster, designed for the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, shows a stylised female figure. The sale, Thursday, 2pm, also has some Hockneys, est pounds 300-pounds 500, and British Rail posters at pounds 200-pounds 400.

There is a small sale of dolls and teddy bears at Christie's South Kensington, Thursday (2pm), and two Colonnade sales at Sotheby's: Oriental artworks, 13th to 20th century, Tuesday and Wednesday (10.30am daily), and British pictures, Wednesday (10.30am). The picture sale has Sir Edwin Landseer's chalk and pencil drawing, Study of a Seated Girl, est pounds 300-pounds 400, which last appeared at Christie's in 1874 titled A Lady Reading. More pictures, many under pounds 100, at Phillips Bayswater, Tuesday (noon).

Is your collection of Staffordshire figures missing a dog, a fox or a goat? The late Lady Henderson, an avid collector, specialised in animals. Her comprehensive collection, built up over half a century, is at Phillips on Wednesday (11am). There are some scarce bocage figures (a lion and unicorn pair are est pounds 1,500-pounds 2,000) but some lots are under pounds 100.

Best of the rest: musical instruments at Phillips, Thursday (11am). Printed books at Christie's South Kensington, Friday (10.30am). Furniture at Phillips Bayswater, Monday (10am).
