The Price of Love is a documentary looking at the affects of a 2012 change to the rules on spouse immigration: a British citizen sponsoring entry of their non-EU spouse must earn at least £18,600.

In the second of three clips from the film, directed by Don McVey, we meet Gethin and his Russian wife Elena. The pair have been married for 17 years and have always dreamed of living in Gethin's family home in Wales with their two teenage children.

Yet despite Gethin working two jobs - in a deli and in a clay pigeon shooting school - it is not technically enough to ensure Elena can join her family in the UK.
