Joe Wicks is returning for one last "PE with Joe" YouTube class on Saturday after he began "missing" the daily workouts.

The lessons began as way for The Body Coach to help kids to keep fit while they were unable to attend school during lockdown, but fast captured the support of their parents and celebrities alike.

Wicks streamed his last virtual HIIT class in July to coincide with gyms reopening for the first time since March, but he had promised he would “be back” later in the year.

He had already reduced the regularity of the classes in June when schools began to reopen.

Now the fitness entrepreneur is returning with the format sooner than expected, saying he misses broadcasting the lessons.

Wicks will stream a one-off lesson on 29 August at 9am from his new home, where he recently moved with wife Rosie Jones and two young children, Indie and Marley. All you have to do is head to The Body Coach YouTube channel here.

"That’s it I can’t leave it any longer," Wicks wrote in an Instagram post.

"I’ve felt as flat as pancake since PE with Joe ended and the truth is I really miss it.

“I miss the energy it gave me and the sense of purpose I had everyday.

“I miss the lean backs, the silly billy’s and all the happy faces taking part at home with me.

"I’ve decided I'm coming back for another session. This Saturday morning I’ll be going LIVE for another workout at 9am on my YouTube channel.

"The first workout live from my new home. Will you join in for the reunion? I cant wait to train with you again. Please share and tag friends in this post.” [Sic]

PE With Joe lasted 18 weeks during lockdown and even continued when Wicks injured his hand, with wife Rosie stepped in to teach instead.

The announcement of a one-off class comes after he spoke about how the reaction to the sessions had left him “at my happiest”.

"I knew what I was doing, I was making people feel good and I was creating so much impact and that’s really when I’m at my happiest”, the 33-year-old said in an Instagram Stories video shared earlier this week.

"Because that's gone I'm feeling a bit confused and lost but I know I'm going to regain my energy," the trainer added.

With donations from his fans and viewers, Wicks raised £580,000 for the NHS while running the exercise classes.

The classes streamed during lockdown can still be viewed on The Body Coach YouTube channel.
