Most adults try to escape memories of school dinners, but burglars in Wales actively broke into Sennybridge Primary School and prepared themselves a two-course meal in the canteen.

Nothing was stolen aside from food and drink, so it appears the thieves were just nostalgic for potato smileys.

They took chicken and salmon from the freezer, according to police, cooked it and ate it using the school's plates and cutlery, before moving on to ice cream for dessert and washing it all down with apple juice.

They finished the feast by pulling Christmas crackers, in an incident police described as "unusual" and said took place between 18 and 27 July.

There is no word on whether or not they bussed their trays.
