(2009 Facebook)

Avon's younger product brand, mark., is the first beauty label to introduce a shop widget on its Facebook fan page.

The brand's online shop, being tested with the US market, is integrated into its profile and easy to navigate, with products divided into categories ranging from make-up to skincare and fragrance.

However, shoppers need to provide their telephone numbers at check-out, suggesting that mark.'s online presence is staying true to Avon's door-to-door sales approach, which involves local sales representatives contacting you directly after you've submitted your order.

The same concept applies to the label's freshly launched iPhone application.

Facebook representatives said that the only other fan page they were aware of, that used a similar shop on its fan page, was 1-800-Flowers.

Avon recently made waves with its new fragrance 'In Bloom,' fronted by Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon. Mark.'s spokesmodel is reality TV star and designer Lauren Conrad.
