We are mere weeks away from Christmas and just as we gear up for party season, what better inspiration then a star-studded gala for outfit inspiration? Whilst the average Christmas party doesn't usually come with a red carpet dress code, there's no harm in imagining.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art played host to an impressive guestlist for the annual LACMA Art + Film Gala, this year honouring artist James Turrell and filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

The event was presented by Gucci, meaning many of the attendees opted to attend the event decked out in the label, much to the delight of brand Creative Director Alessandro Michele who was on hand to see his designs come to life.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Dakota Johnson, Salma Hayek and Rosie Huntington Whiteley all chose various looks by the designer for the event.

Kim Kardashian is never one to follow a trend, instead of opting for Gucci she chose a revealing black lace gown by Givenchy and happily posed alongside the brand's Creative Director Riccardo Tisci and Naomi Campbell - who also wore Givenchy.

Going even more off-piste was Diane Kruger who chose a trouser look from Monique Lhuillier.
