This week I went to a Bikram Yoga class, where you exercise in 30-degree heat. I hadn't been for a long time, but feeling fitter encouraged me to go back.

Over the last seven weeks, the programme has been brilliant, particularly in terms of educating myself.Sustaining the exercise regime was more difficult than I thought it would be, but having a personal trainer was the best incentive not to give up. If you start to flag she just reminds you what you wanted to achieve.

The most difficult part of the programme was cutting down on caffeine and chocolate. I took Matt's advice and made some rabbit stew, which was good. Porridge for breakfast has been my favourite discovery – with some honey or banana.

I'd say the key to success is a healthy store cupboard. I've got loads of raisins, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, nuts and crystallised ginger to nibble on.

The three crucial things have been drinking more water, changing my breakfast habits and eating light meals in the evening. My main aim was to build up to something I could do consistently. The past three weeks have shown me how I can.
