ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS
The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Chairman, chairs a meeting and hosts a luncheon for the trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association, at Buckingham Palace. The Duke of York attends the Royal Warrant Holders Association's Annual Luncheon and presents awards to the 1997 winners of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship, at the London Hilton, London W1. The Princess Royal attends the Three Counties Agricultural Society's Annual Show, Malvern Showground, Worcestershire; and, as President, British Olympic Association and the Olympians, holds the Olympic Pin Ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Princess Margaret, President, Friends of the Elderly, attends a reception and concert at St James's Palace. The Duke of Gloucester opens the Community Skills and Training Centre, Sutton Road First School, Mansfield; visits the Hope Centre at St Martha's Church, Nottingham; and visits the Pain Management Centre at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham University.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; No 7 Company Coldstream Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
