Next week's highlights comprise a major wine event in Italy, a summit on mobile internet in China, a day dedicated to world health, an important retrospective of French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson in New York, among other events.

Dress to Kilt

Celebrities including supermodel Marcus Schenkenberg and the actors Mike Myers and Alan Cumming will model new kilt designs at a New York showcase organized by actor Sean Connery. Tickets are available to the public and can be purchased online. There will also be a pop-up shop of the designs, running through April 13, located at the M2 Lounge (13 East 69th Street).

China Mobile Internet Summit

Representatives from China Mobile, China Unicom, France Telecom-Orange, British Telecom, Vodafone China, MySpace China, Baidu, Deutsche Telekom, AT&T, Telefonica International, Google China, Sony Picture Television International, and Research In Motion will be speaking at this year's China Mobile Internet Summit in Beijing. The event brings together high-level executives from the telecommunications, high-tech and internet sectors to discuss the world's future mobile internet market.

World Health Day

This year's World Health Day theme is "1000 cities, 1000 lives" and will highlight urbanization and health. The campaign will run April 7-11 and the World Health Organization (WHO) has set the following goals: 1000 cities will "open up public spaces to health" and 1000 lives is about gathering 1000 stories about "urban health champions," individuals that have made a significant impact on health in their cities.

Henri Cartier-Bresson retrospective

New York's MoMA presents the first major Henri-Cartier Bresson retrospective in 30 years. Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century covers 60 years of the French photographer's career, showing 300 prints from 1929 to 1989, many of which have never been shown to the public before.
