MAGpushes the boundaries of the online first-person shooter by cramming a whopping 256 players into the war zone simultaneously. Combat seems understandably chaotic and deadly at first, with an average foray on to the front line causing death within seconds. Perseverance brings its rewards, however; good play generates experience points, used to access ever-more varied weapons and mission types. MAG’s lasting success will depend on updates injecting variety, but for a first foray, this is a fine achievement.
