Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green announce engagement

They are the most unlikely couple in showbiz, but Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green have announced they are engaged.

The Made in Chelsea star broke the news that the 29-year-old rapper had proposed to her on Twitter, posting a photo of her engagement ring and tweeting: “At my favourite restaurant in the whole wide world and then…If I could scream loud enough for the whole world to hear I would.”

Professor Green, 29, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, said he’d been celebrating by going on a shopping spree in Paris, while his 23-year-old future bride admitted on Twitter that she was nursing a headache after too much champagne.

Green also tweeted: “If the response to my next album could be this warm and wonderful that’d be great, thanks :) x”

Camilla “Millie” Mackintosh, whose great-great grandfather invented Quality Street, has been dating the rapper from Hackney, East London since December 2011.

There are no details yet about when the pair will marry or whether the wedding will feature on reality TV series Made in Chelsea.
