Entourage star Jeremy Piven is charging fans $15,000 (£11,000) for a 10-minute Zoom call.

Piven, who also appeared in the ITV drama Mr Selfridge, is one of the many stars connecting with fans on the personal message site Cameo. The website allows fans to pay varying amounts of money to have celebrities record personal messages.

A short and pre-recorded message by Piven costs $400 (£332), but a longer conversation comes with a $15,000 price tag.

Cameo “Zoom calls”, in which stars use the video conferencing app to speak to fans for extended periods of time, are a new addition to the site, with Piven among the names currently participating.

Others include Tony Hawk, who charges $1,000 (£791) for a call, and Lord of the Rings actor Sean Astin, who charges $599 (£244) per call.

As of 16 June, Piven appears to have removed the ability to book personal Zoom calls for the time being, instead only offering to film pre-recorded messages.

In 2019, Piven claimed that his career had been ruined by allegations of sexual misconduct that he denied. Speaking on comedian Andrew Schulz’s podcast, Piven called himself “collateral damage” of the #MeToo movement.

He also claimed that his Entourage character, the fast-talking Hollywood womaniser Ari Gold, made him an “easy target” for allegations.

“This guy is an easy target,” he said. “Not only who wouldn’t believe it, but who wouldn’t rally behind taking that guy down?”

Piven’s other work includes films Scary Movie 3 and Smokin’ Aces, and the 1990s sitcom Ellen.
