Two Door Cinema Club threw a pop-up show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Sunday to combat the cancellation of the third day of Governors Ball.

Shortly after organizers announced the cancellation, the group told fans that they were planning to remedy the situation.

"NYC! Here we f**king go! Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight," they announced on Twitter.

Four hours later, the band announced that they would be playing a make up show. Tickets would cost $10 for those who had Governors Ball wristbands and $20 for those who didn’t. All of the money from the tickets would go to Save the Children, a charity dedicated to promoting children’s rights. The tickets were first come, first serve and the box office opened at 5pm.

Fans were lined up for two blocks, extending past the venue and down the street. Security guards were attempting to separate annoyed fans into two lines, card them and get them in the venue at 8pm.

By 9pm, the music hall was packed with patrons. Security began turning paying fans away because the capacity had been easily reached.

A bartender on the upper level of the music hall said that she got a call around 3pm telling her she needed to come into work because Two Door Cinema Club was going to play that night. Other staff was called the day of and worked tirelessly to make the show happen.

“It was a little unexpected, but I don’t think any of us mind,” she said.

Although the band and the venue had to scramble to put the show together, the packed house seemed to be ecstatic to be able to actually see a set.

Two Door Cinema Club started playing at 9:30pm and wrapped up around 11pm including a three song encore.

The group announced that they are working on a new album and hope to release it as soon as possible.
