Album: Primal Scream, More Light (First International)

With any Primal Scream album, you're only ever hearing Bobby Gillespie's impeccably tasteful record collection (good taste, of course, being the death of art).

More Light's opener, "2013", sounds like a reject from Bowie's Low and quotes Roxy's "Do the Strand". This process continues throughout. It's seldom terrible. And seldom does much to persuade you that it wouldn't be a better idea to cut out the middle man and listen to Gillespie's old LPs instead.
