On March 17, Texas chillwave band Neon Indian is the most blogged act of the moment, according to The Hype Machine. French electro-house artist Kavinsky and Brooklyn duo MGMT are in second and third, thanks to several new remixes of Kavinsky tracks and ongoing buzz about MGMT's forthcoming album Congratulations.

Toronto electronic band Holy Fuck, due to release a third album, Latin, in May, is in the blogs Wednesday with the release of that album's first single, "Latin America." In a strange marketing twist, the band announced its new album on the chat website Chatroulette and then directed fans to the site to hear the first track. "Latin America" is now out in mp3 form and is being shared by music bloggers. The Needle Drop (theneedledrop.blogspot.com) says the band "blurs the lines between rock and electronic music. Their tight grooves and linear, improvisational songs make their music a soundtrack for letting go."

Also getting mention today is The National, a Brooklyn-based band whose most recent album, 2007's Boxer, received widespread critical praise. The band has been releasing news of its next album piecemeal: first the release dates of May 10/11; then the name, High Violet; and now a tracklist. Bloggers are sharing the news and passing around mp3s, including the group's recent performance of the new album's opening track, "Terrible Love," on US TV show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
