Lana Del Rey sent a series of menacing tweets to rapper Azealia Banks after apparently growing tired of her former friend making digs on social media.

On 30 September, Del Rey was praised for confronting Kanye West over his continued support of Donald Trump. Banks then called out Del Rey, commenting: "Don't use Kanye for your own vapid attempts to seem politically aware when there is SO MUCH MORE bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to TRY and take down 45."

She added: "Kanye is not your enemy or THE enemy" before posting on Instagram: "I'm tired of white women in Hollywood and their fake ass innocent agendas."

Then on 9 October, Del Rey tweeted at Banks: "U know the addy [address]. Pull up anytime. Say it to my face. But if I were you – I wouldn't."

"I won't not f*** you the f*** up," she warned. "Period."

She continued in a separate tweet: "Banks. U coulda been the greatest female rapper alive but u blew it. Don't take it out on the only person who had ur back."

Banks responded by criticising Del Rey's appearance and weight, to which Del Rey offered to recommend her both a surgeon and a psychiatrist: "Your psych meds aren't working."

The last message appeared to be from Banks, who suggested she was considering legal action against Del Rey.
