Brooklyn indie band The National continues to reign in the music blogosphere on April 2, as bloggers share the band's new track "Bloodbuzz Ohio" in end-of-week playlists. The Hype Machine finds Barcelona synth-pop band Delorean and New York dance-punk project LCD Soundsystem holding in second and third, while Penguin Prison and Jamaica are new to the top ten.

Penguin Prison is the name for an electro-pop artist from New York whose band is in the blogs after Neon Gold Records released its single "The Worse It Gets" on April 1. That track is accompanied by two remixes, by RAC and Starsmith. Off the Radar (www.offtheradarmusic.com) says of the RAC remix, "It's got this sweet nu-disco/pop sound that's pretty infectious. Perfect track to usher in the Spring time." Neon Gold's blog (neongoldrecords.blogspot.com) says Smarsmith's take "is some full-on Miami Vice shit, all fluorescent technicolor, fast cars and pastel suits."

Jamaica is a French duo that previously went by the name Poney Poney. Under their new moniker, the two released a new track, "I Think I Like U 2," from an album due out in August. TILT (www.tiltmag.com) says of the duo, "With a strong, throwback to 80's sound, complete with crispy metallic electric guitars and an album produced by Justice's Xavier de Rosnay and Peter Franco (Daft Punk soundman), we predict these guys are going to be one of the hugest acts to debut this year."
