Memphis orchestral pop group Magic Kids is the most popular act in the blogosphere on June 21, according to The Hype Machine. The band is garnering attention as it readies the release of its first full-length album, Memphis, in August. Canadian indie band Arcade Fire is in second place, followed by American rapper Kid Cudi in third.

Kid Cudi, who stars in the television show How To Make it in America, is due to release his second studio album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Lager, on September 14. The rapper has just shared that album's lead single, "REVOFEV," short for "Revolution of Evolution." Produced by Plain Pat, the track features a string arrangement, acid guitars, and a piano sample. Pigeons and Planes (pigeonsandplanes.com) calls it "a solid, melodic first single."

New to the top ten is Oberhofer, an act that started as the lo-fi solo project of American musician Brad Oberhofer and has since become a full band. The group's single "I Could Go" was offered up as the USA contribution to the monthly Music Alliance Pact, by which bloggers from around the world are asked to share tracks from their home countries. The blogger at I Guess I'm Floating (iguessimfloating.blogspot.com), who contributed the track, calls it "a great song with catchy percussion, climatic melodies, and wonderful whistling."
