US musician and DJ Gregg Gillis, a.k.a. Girl Talk, is the hottest act in the blogosphere for the second consecutive day according to The Hype Machine on November 19. Swedish pop band jj is second while US rapper Kanye West drops to third. Meanwhile, New York's Bikini joins the top ten.

In the days before the release of Kanye West's fifth studio album, bloggers are swapping and reviewing his collaborations with Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., T.I., and Kid Cudi, among others. Of the track "Lost in the World," featuring Alicia Keys and Bon Iver, Blah Blah Blah Science (blahblahblahscience.com) writes it "sounds, feels, bleeds like the work of an artist who absolutely had to create it."

New York indie act Bikini climbs into the top ten after the release of a dance pop track "American Mourning" from their upcoming EP, RIPJDS, an acronym for Rest in Peace J.D. Salinger. The new track is "just dripping with the spacey synths and haunting vocals that sparkled so brightly in their debut single, 'A Cheerleader,'" blogs Altered Zones (alteredzones.com).
