Jay-Z is set to join U2 on a leg of the Irish band's record-breaking 360° Tour, announced U2's website on August 23. The rapper will be the U2's guest for five November and December dates in New Zealand and Australia.

U2 and Jay-Z previously performed together in November 2009, collaborating on the Irish rockers' song "Sunday Bloody Sunday" during a Berlin Wall commemoration in front of the Brandenburg Gate that was broadcast live at the MTV European Music Awards.

For the upcoming tour dates, Jay-Z will reportedly perform an hour-long set at the beginning of each show. The rapper last performed in Australia in 2006 and has never played in New Zealand.

Tour dates:

November
25 - Auckland Mount Smart Stadium, New Zealand

December
1 - Melbourne Etihad Stadium, Australia
8 - Brisbane Suncorp Stadium, Australia
13 - Sydney ANZ Stadium, Australia
18 - Perth Sunbiaco Oval, Australia

The U2 360° Tour, on its way to becoming the top-grossing tour of all time, is currently in the midst of a second European leg that began in Turin, Italy, and is set to head to 17 cities through October.

Tickets for the U2/Jay-Z performances in Australia and New Zealand will go on sale September 3.
