Indie band Stereo Honey perform a Music Box session - watch
Band are gearing up for a performance at Live at Leeds festival, as well as a headline show at Electrowerkz in London
Tipped as one of The Independent's Ones to Watch for 2018, we knew we had to get our faves Stereo Honey into the Music Box studio.
Frontman Pete Restrick and guitarist Nicky Boiardi dropped by The Independent's HQ to perform three stripped-back versions of their work, including recent single "What Makes A Man".
Despite only releasing a clutch of well-produced and incredibly catchy tracks, the London-based four-piece have been gaining more and more buzz, thanks in large part to their fantastic live shows.
For Music Box they performed three original songs: "What Makes A Man", "The Bay" and "Angel" - check out the session above.
What we love about this session is that, while a lot of artists might just try and perform a stripped-down version of their tracks the same way as the full version, the guys clearly put a lot of thought into making the acoustic versions stand on their own. Pete's vocal work is sublime, as is Nicky's guitar, and each song has a stunning dynamic that really gets the raw emotion across.
Don't miss out on Stereo Honey's - they play Live at Leeds festival on 5 May, have a headline show at Electrowerkz in London on 16 May, and a showcase at The Great Escape Festival the following weekend - and keep an eye out for new music on the way.
