Sir: As the man most instrumental in raising the public profile of Third World aid and achieving record funds through Live Aid, Bob Geldof has amply demonstrated the heroic virtue which Paul Vallely defines as a qualification for sainthood ("Arise, Sir Bob", 12 March).
