It's the sheer science-fiction modernity that gets you, plus the chance to check the interaction of the band, at this point the best anywhere, in any genre. You can marvel at Joe Zawinul's customised Fender Rhodes and percussionist Dom Um Romao's kitchen-sink kit. Then, after some of the most sensitive music you've ever heard, they – funkily, soulfully, joyfully – jam.
