"Periods of darkness can overcome us at any time," maintains sympathetic serial killer Dexter, a man prone to many dark moments.
The forensics expert (played exquisitely by Michael C Hall) continues to slice and dice villains in the wee hours, while also trying to raise his son on his own (poor Rita perished) and holding down his day job. This time around, two religious maniacs (Colin Hank and Edward James Olmos) are Dexter's adversaries in this devilishly droll and gruesome series.
